You see, to me he is more like the Pied Piper of his "stereotyped target demographic", and that he is revered for being the puppet master of Digg's mob rule. It is possible that my extreme hatred for what Digg has become, and particularly for their new rules, makes me look at him in a different light.

I’ll admit that Kevin Rose does do a pretty good job of helping out his stereotyped target demographic (the techie crowd) in terms of a combo nerd/hip image not usually possible. He can hold his own pretty well on screen / in public.

But, in this case, I think his track record of iPhone rumor accuracy is overlooked for the most part. He’s given the benefit of the doubt like no one else I know.
